Just wondering how an older 3bSS bell would match with a newer .508 Shires slide (from an MD+ in this case)?

I know the fitting and screw lock would need to be adjusted to fit, but would there be any foreseeable intonation or playability issues? Has anyone tried this before?

You'd probably have better luck swapping the bell unto a Shires neck pipe. Shires tuning slides are fairly distinct with how they line up partials though my only specific experience with the small bored was on a Bach bell section which made the bell really, really, really flat.
