Hey all,
I am clearing out some of my trombone inventory. I am selling because I am perfectly content with my Bach 36B and my Williams, and need to finance a move from east to west coast!!
Will upload pictures later today or tomorrow but wanted to put this up now. Can also email pics. Here’s some detailed descriptions!
1.) Conn 8(8)H convertible horn.
A glorious instrument. Elkhart 8H Bell section made convertible. Has a silver plated OE Thayer Valve. Slide is a more modern Conn 88H slide, not sure of the year but 80s or 90s. Not mouthpiece taper issues with this slide. This horn plays incredibly well. The valve works amazingly for being an original OE which is at least 30 years old. Cosmetic issues but the bell is in great shape. Comes shipped with a well used leather Marcus Bonna case which can fit the horn and the straight gooseneck.
$2500 including shipping
2.) Conn 6H
This horn was previously owned by the late, great Wayne Andre. I don’t have documentation but it was purchased by J Landress Brass from his wife who can confirm. Bell is from the 50s with the Art Deco design. Slide is from the 60s, apparently hand picked by Wayne at the factory after the original slide wore out. This is the best playing example of a 6H I have ever encountered. Cosmetically it has a ton of lacquer wear and has been well used by myself the last three years. I have used it on recordings and gigs for artists including Macklemore (his radio hit “Glorious”), Lady Antebellum, and Kelly Clarkson. Comes in a chocolate Protec Pro Pac case which is worn, the zipper is messed up but still seals. Interior is in great shape.
$1200 including shipping
3.) Butler Carbon Fiber Slide for Conn 6H
This is an extra slide which I love, but am not using. Was used with the 6H bell. The inners have a curved Williams style grip and has a Kanstul Alan Kaplan leadpipe in it. The CF outer was a replacement that was used on one performance and kept in the case. Pretty much brand new.
$1250 for the slide shipped...$2250 total package for 6H AND Butler slide.
4.) Selmer Bolero...later model, slide is a 7/10, bell in good condition. FAT SOUND. Nice horn to modify and soup up, or leave as is! Used on one iHeart Radio Festival and kept in the closet. Shipped in a very flimsy gig bag. $650 shipped.
5.) Acme Trombones King 3B SS/Yamaha Slide...I ordered this horn from dj. It is great but doesn’t serve my needs. An HN WHITE 3B SS bell in great condition, king tuning slide, mated to a Yamaha gooseneck. The slide is a gently used .508 891Z slide. Comes with the threaded NY leadpipe. The slide mellows out the silver bell a bit, slots better. Slide action is amazing. Has a “galactic” paint job on gooseneck and tuning slide that is worn and easily removable with a Brillo pad or by a tech. The three piece counterweight he sent me doesn’t fit the horn without some tape on the brace, but could be modified by a tech. Shipped with no case. You won’t find one of these around! If you’re looking for the King sound without the quirks of some older HN Whites this is the ticket! Perfect for loud brass band and rock gigs.
$1800 shipped
NO TRADES (except for Minick or Williams  ) . All offers welcomed. Thanks for reading and helping me out with this big move!!
