Offering up my wonderful Lawler TL. - 7.5" Yellow brass bell section, .500 bore yellow brass slide with a nickel bottom bow.
This is a wonderful lead/jazz trombone. Roy's first generation of horns are different from the current models, but just as great.
I ordered this directly from Roy in 2003 (serial number 30), the nickel bow and finish were custom orders, This was my main horn until I became a Rath artist in 2012. It produces a rich, dense lead sound full of overtones.
There's plenty of lacquer loss at the contact points and a little pitting (Roy was still figuring out his finishing), but only one small dent on the horn (half way down the bell section). It's in great playing condition.
Not sure if this the done thing, but I recorded this on it 😉

It's time to let this one go - it's a horn that needs to be played!
If you're near Chicago, feel free to come over and try it.
Pics upon request.
