I am still looking. It would be great to hear from you if you have either a 6.5A or 6.5AL Bach Mount Vernon small shank trombone mouthpiece that is not get played on, and you are willing to let go of.

Thanks

Thank you.

Or if anyone knows of some ideas of where to look that would also be useful and gratefully received on my quest.

They are very rare, Sam Burtis used to buy everyone he could find of the Clarke Bach 61/2. Which of course is what Denis copied for his original 6bs. You will find them but they will cost probably in the same range as a mt vernon 11c or 2 g

A good alternative is the Bob Reeves/Brass Ark Clarke 6.5.... based on on an original Clarke S.

This is a good piece. If I weren't playing a Mt Vernon 6.5 myself, I would have one. Be advised they are smaller than the 6.5, at least the couple I have.

Thanks everyone. Finding the right mouthpiece is difficult. We can all play on just about anything but slotting and putting on a mouthpiece like a pair of slippers is the tough bit. You all have more experiece with mouthpieces than me. I am grateful for your input and guidance. It has given me good food for thought. And finding the right piece is fun in itself. Vegasbound kindly told me about Doig Elliot too.

Any more tips are welcomely received as would be a MV6.5A or AL that is sat in the closet waiting to be played some more.
