Hello all! I was previously on the forum, so it's good to have finally made the switch over!
For sale is a circa. 1960 Conn 48h trombone with a case, no mouthpiece. Nickel bell and brass slide, this horn would be fantastic for in a jazz group, brass band, salsa group, or really a lot of other gigging bands. The nickel 8" bell and 0.500 bore really give it a mellow sound but let it sing! It also helps in not letting the sound break at a high dynamic. The horn shows its age and has lacquer wear in the usual contact spots as well as on the slide and bell, a few small dents that I've tried to capture in the pictures, has some form of oxidation on the interior rim of the bell, and small plating loss at the end of the slide stockings. Overall the slide feels good, but I think I can feel some towards the stockings which I assume comes from the plating loss. The tuning slide also has a dent to it, but I haven't had any issue in adjusting the slide and looks like it could be bent out pretty quick by a trusty tech. I have quite a few more pictures, feel free to send me a message and I can send those over.
I'm asking $650 for the horn and case. Let me know if you have questions that I can help answer, and offers are welcome! Thanks all!
