I picked this up a few weeks ago, but I really don’t need it, and I’m trying to thin out the number of horns around here so I’d like to pass it back along. It plays well, just like the prior owner’s description, which I’ve pasted below.
For sale is a King 1480 (5B) from 1967. Serial number 4385xx. If you look at the one photo, you'll see that this was a U.S. Navy horn, dated 9/67. This particular horn has a nine-inch bell and .536 bore. Not to be mistaken for later 5B's with a split bore .536/.547.
The pictures tell the story of the condition of the horn. Various small pings and scratches on the bell and throat. Horn may have been relacquered at some point. The valve works fine and all slides as well. The handslide is probably an 8 out of 10. It moves freely but feels like there are some small pings. There is chrome wear on both stockings, but, doesn't feel like it is effecting the slide. The case stores the horn, that's about it (this is true - it has 2 out of 3 latches, but it holds the horn, and it arrived here unscathed).
$650, includes shipping in lower 48.

Fair bit of interest, but no one has pulled the trigger.
What about $600 shipped?
