What should I figure a King 2B Liberty from the 50’s to be worth?
Overall condition is very good. Lacquer is 100% there and has darkened over time. I do not have pics as yet.
I’m just looking for a ballpark range.
Thanks in advance

Generally I value King between $600-1000 depending on condition. But it would have to be pretty pristine to go for $1000.
Whenever I get my hands on a 2b (liberty) or 3b (concert) I always expect $800 for it, but will always be willing to settle on a lower number.

I would pay more for a classic 50s era 2B than an 80s or newer in the same condition. Maybe $1,000 to $1,200 for your horn if really nice. Just my opinion.

50's 2Bs - particularly the "two-tone" ones, go on the higher end of the spectrum, very desirable vintage. 700-1200 depending on condition, more if absolutely pristine. I dropped 1K on the last one I got (in great condition other than a little slide work it needed). Assuming you have time to wait on a buyer who knows what it is and wants to pay to get one. If you're selling when there's a ton of 2Bs going on the ebay it'll go short.
