Adding an F attachment?

I’ve got a very nice 8HT with the SL4747 slide that plays very well. I’d really like to have an F with this horn. I wondered how much the sound would change with the addition of a valve to this horn. I’m also curious about the cost. Looking for maybe a Minnick or Greenhoe set up.
Thanks,
Disco

Overall, I don't think it would alter the sound THAT much, but that's just my demi-god like, all-knowing opinion....
Adding a valve section will run you about $1K, A Greenhoe section, if you can find one, will add a bit more.
I would recommend an Instrument Innovation valve and your tech can build anything around that.
What’s a Haggman cost?
Hagmann*
Noah is a distributor for those and can get you updated pricing for the US: http://brassark.com/valves.html
Hagmann would be one of the more expensive valves to put on merely because they're more expensive than other parts, unless something has changed recently.

I paid my Hagmann coverstion kit 1057 CHF (So maybe $1100 USD with the exchange rate these days), not including installation by my local tech, and that was almost 8 years ago, so it's probably quite a bit more now.
I love Hagmann valves, but I would recommend making sure to try other 88H's with Hagmanns before doing that blind. I know many people (myself included) who don't really like the effect of an Hagmann (or other very open valves, for that matter) on Conns.
