What is your favorite type of music to play/perform/listen to?
My favorite is probably brass choir music, but where I live now there aren't too many opportunities for that. So I settle for trombone choir and quartet music, and I do get plenty of that. Arrangements of Holst, Copland, Mussourgsky, Mozart, Beethoven and others are some of my faves. It's easier to find great classical type music because only the best has survived.
But I also love pop/jazz, traditional and even religious stuff. Our tbone quartet plays some great ragtime, Dixie, etc. We try to play upbeat or very beautiful stuff. We do some of our own arrangements, which can be fun.
I'll try to get a recording of a couple of tunes.

Good music, any style/genre. Anytime I get to play is a gift/blessing.

Pretty songs with pleasing changes and players who make melody.

I really enjoy playing new compositions. It's nice to help someone get their voice out.
