I'm reluctantly selling my single plug bass... it doesn't see the light of day often at all, and I'd rather it not just sit unused. Everything I play, for my level of trigger expertise, requires a double.
Specs:
- BII German screw bell. Pretty cool, one-of-a-kind bell. With the addition of the screw ring, it's about the weight of a medium weight bell. Also has a nickel Krantz ring.
- BGB Tuning slide
- Single standard rotor in F
- B62NLWC handslide (.562 bore nickel light-weight, but with a wide large tenor end crook. It's the handslide from the older Chicago model tenor)
- B1 leadpipe
If there is enough interest in the different parts, I could part it out. Would like to sell it complete, it's a nice "light" horn that can also pose as a large tenor in a pinch.
It's in really excellent condition with virtually no dents or dings and only minor lacquer wear on the cork barrels. All parts were bought new from the factory by me within about the last year or so. The slide was considered "B stock" because of the minor lacquer wear.
Pics soon.
Make an offer.
PM or email via the forum. PayPal only. Can include a ProTec Ipac case in excellent condition, with backpack straps.
Thanks!
Tim

I've started parting it out. Valve section has already sold.
Here's what's up for grabs:
-BGB tuning slide, like new, $300 - SOLD
-B62NLWC hand slide (.562 bore nickel light-weight, but with a wide large tenor end crook. It's the handslide from the older Chicago model tenor), some lacquer wear on the cork barrel, but otherwise superb condition, $750. Comes with a B1 leadpipe.
- BII German screw bell, like-new, $900. This was made for Shires by a German bell maker (I don't know who). I bought it new and had the screw collar added and had it totally refinished by Shires. This is one-of-a-kind.

Is the bell still for sale?
Would you ship to Canada?
Is the bell yellow or gold brass?
Thanks.
Are you selling that case with the bell?
Nope, case stays with me as my other horn is also screw bell.
