My shoulders have gone bad from lifting around so much stuff on straps over my shoulder. I've had a look at the Gard Wheelie bag and I'm hoping there's something better available out there somewhere. Is there a separate cart maybe with those stair climbing wheels that you can strap a case and gear to? Something lightweight yet sturdy. I don't want a horse trailer. What are you all using to cart around horns, mutes, stands, music and all your various miscellany?

I got a thrift store golf bag cart for my bass trombone and gig bag. Doesn't have the stair wheels, but does the job on long walks from the parking lot to the venue. Not classy, but it works.

I've got a Crate a Cart. It folds to the size of an attache case and opens to a box that can hold my case, a stand, a couple of mutes, a music folder, etc. They aren't terribly durable but they are pretty cheap. Works for me.

I will never be without my GARD tenor bag. Holds horn, horn stand, Manhasset with folding base, Bucket, plunger, cup, straight and music, Mouthpiece, stand lights, accessories, bottled water and my coffee mug. If I need to bring a stool - pull out the foot extension and strap on with bungee. If you can't carry with the backpack straps and need to ascend stairs, I thing you could easily add the triple wheel climbing set in place of the single wheel setup - in fact - I may add that to my to - do list over the winter.

I have a Gard wheelie for bass trombone.

I almost... no. I never use it. Way too bulky and heavy for day to day use.

Buy a cricket kit bag. Place your case and stands in it.

Wheel it round.

At 3:37 on the video it shows testing the cart on stairs.

Looks like the awkward body position required might be hard on the back.

I use a BAGS basstrombone bag with wheels on it. It's quite handy.

But I use the wheels rarely, only if the floor is really smooth, on rough surfaces the bumping makes me feel sorry for my instrument...
