Legit question. I’ve got some measurements from the shop, but am curious as to your findings and measurements on backbone, and rim shape. What are your opinions. BT2 players are welcome as well.

Switched to a Prana BT 1S v4 about a year and a half ago.

Love it. Very comfortable to play.

Thanks John. Anyone else have measurements? Throat? Backbore? Cup depth?

I remember you had specs for the BT1 and L; did you get bore sizes for the 2 and 2L?

Bt1s4 on order. It’s actually a 312 throat, and a 344 backbore. I believe it’s the same on both. The BT2 has a shallower cup and a smaller inside diameter, and I might have one coming for my tenor. I’ll let you know how it works. I’ve had a BT1. They’re all different because they’re still hand made, plus the Monette magic.

I would be curious in knowing how the BT2 plays. If you get one please let us know. Anyone know the inner rim diameter?

27.92 rim diameter. That’s what I use on tenor, for the BT2. 29.21 on the BT1.

What is the cup, throat, and backbore like on the BT2?

Don’t know yet. Have a fresh one on order. I’ve been told it’s a .312 throat. That’s the only specifics I have. Like a 1-1/2 piece with a larger throat. I’m going to try the bt1sv4 on bass and the bt2 on tenor.
