We had someone report the thread: Corey Lewandowski's embouchure. Avoiding the "Womp Womp" sound. I subsequently moved it to the litter box.
This is only the second time that we're enforcing the rule, just wanting to make sure we're handling it right since this is sort of precedent setting. I was going to send basically the following in the warning:
Doctortrombone,
We had several reports from your recent post: Corey Lewandowski's embouchure. Avoiding the "Womp Womp" sound.
As a reminder, our Terms of Service (found in the announcements section) restricts politically based content without explicit relation to the trombone. This policy is non-negotiable and supported by a majority of our community.
The moderation team agrees that your post crosses that line. For more clarifications on what constitutes politically based, you may check the Terms of Service found in the announcements section. Since this is the first time you've posted any such content here and the first time such political satire was posted generally, no harm no foul. But we do ask that you please respect the wishes of the community as a whole and do hope you enjoy your time talking about something that we all are passionate about, which is trombones and music.

Agreed. I had to look up that guy Corey. I've been (purposefully) out of the loop on many fronts. DoctorTrombone, I've gleaned, is Euphanasia, right? Brad Close's bro, if I'm not mistaken.

I had to look him up too.
It would be nice for us to be able to put a name with a name... Is there a chance for us to see real names of posters?

We could change it moving forward so that new users must provide at least a name even if it is only revealed to us. There'd be no verification unless we wanted to manually verify or make them upload a drivers license or something. There may be a way to force it for existing users too but... it might a situation where maybe we just enable it moving forward and then we kick out anyone who acts like a douche and if they reapply without our knowledge... we'll then nominally know who they are at that point. Fortunately it hasn't really been much of an issue or taken that long to police the forum so far. I think the 'broken window' theory might hold true. Keep things cordial and then people are less reluctant to do more of it etc.
I'll go ahead and send the message now.

Thanks for sending, Matt.
I'm not in favor of any forced identification at all.

All little confusing in my corner of the planet.
You have my support..... only wear it when you need to.

Chris, this is all related to the insanity going on at the US-Mexico border. Lewandowski was head of Trump's campaign for a while, but has been out of the picture for at least a year. He was making a VERY snide comment by imitating a Downs Syndrome kid being separated from his mother.
Don't worry. I have no idea how to interpret Brian Adcock's political cartoons either (he did a lot of parodying of the Scotland Separation vote and Brexit).
