Mute Idea

Has anyone thought of a metal straight mute that collapses like on of those camping cups? I think it would save some serious gig bag space. I imagine the top section collapsing into the bell end of the mute.

I think with the vibration of the trombone, those parts would rattle.

Make some poster board mockups. Maybe even fiberglass them. Hmm, sounds like a fun holiday vacation project...
