Bell storage

Hey bone heads, a question:
I’m getting a new bell for my Shires, and I’m questioning how to store my other bell. I plan to occasionally use it, was thinking of pairing it with an open gooseneck so I could switch back and forth easily enough. But how to store it when not in use? Hate to buy a new case just to store a bell, and don’t necessarily trust just putting it on a shelf. What do you guys do?

I have enough extra cases to store things that way. Maybe put it on a stand out of the way.

This is another possible use for one of those awful $20.00 Ebay special gig bags. If all you want to do is keep the dust off a spare bell it's fine (and cheap). No protection, so use care if you need to travel with it (like to a gig).

I hang extra slides on a couple command hooks on the wall in an out of the way spot. A bell might go in a corner or beside a book shelf.
