Hi. Anyone know where I can get the long lead pipe for the Getzen 1062 bass trombone? I bought a used horn but it only came with one lead pipe and it is not the longest one which I used when I had the same type of horn in the past. Thanks for any ideas.

If it's any help, I think I am looking for a #3 lead pipe.

All Getzen pipes are the same length. The difference is in the Venturi

That's interesting because i have seen pictures of a longer one and also when I owned the same model horn a few years ago there was a longer lead pipe that came with it. Odd. Maybe it was custom?

Is it possible the used horn you bought had a non Getzen leadpipe?

If you like longer you might like just the normal number 1.

My 1062 came with three pipes of equal length. But this model has been in production for a long time. I wonder if the leadpipes changed at some point.

I have an all brass Getzen slide that had the leadpipe soldered in. When I had the pipe taken out, I believe it was the same length. I know it wasn’t longer.

I have confirmed with Getzen that they do not have a longer lead pipe, so we can assume is was made by someone else for that trombone. I have ordered a new standard one from Edwards. Thanks for the responses.

Are there any markings on the pipe you have in now? Usually aftermarket ones will have some type of indication on the pipe regarding what it is.

I wonder if it might be a Shires pipe. Don’t they make a long pipe?
