Does anyone have any experience with the Wessex Contrabass/Bass stand, model SLS19W?
I am considering using it (as a backup) with a 10-inch bell Holton Bass. My initial concern is the larger In-Bell support system, i.e. too much pressure on the Bell.
Also, I can not tell if the insertion support is made out of plastic or a softer rubber.
Right now I use the K & M 14990; it is excellent. This is just an exploratory idea.
Thanks in advance for your observations.

I don't know what model stand I have, but it's made from a literal cymbal base. It's a really great stand and I would recommend it to anyone over any other stand I've tried. Which is saying something because I do like my K*M as well.

Thanks for the insights, Matt. You might have the SDT-1, tenor or bass stand, which I have actually directly heard good thinks about.

Newell Sheridan sells a very sturdy bass bone stand as well.
