Hey all. I'm considering buying a King 5b and want to replace the case. I have one of the J Winter/Eastman cases but Hickey's website says the case won't work for the 4bf so therefore one would assume it won't with the 5b as well. Any thoughts that won't break the bank?

The King 5B hasn't been made since the late '90's. Is it a 4B style one made in the 70's-90's or is it an earlier 1480 Symphony model?

There were two flavors of 2105: one where the tube of the F-attachment makes a graceful arc toward the bell brace and one where there are two small bends and a straight section near the bell brace. The location of the bell brace is different between the two versions and cases built to catch the bell brace for the two different versions will be different.

That's not a typo. The model number for the 5B in later years was 2105.

I don't think the version of 5B matters. 4Bs and 5Bs are too wide to fit into an Eastman or many other cases (of the ones that I have tried).
