King Bell on a Bach Slide

So I have my old 1986 King 606 from when I was a beginner. I recently sanded off the lacquer and I really like the sound.
Would it be crazy to switch out the Bell Receiver to accept my Bach 16m slide? Is is possible without changing the neck pipe? Just a thought......

As long as the bell reciever isn't one piece you should be able to swap it out. Neckpipe diameter may play a part in the conversion.

You sanded off the lacquer? I didn't realize that was a safe thing to do.
This probably isn't much help, but I'm not sure if you can pair a bach slide with a king bell since the Kings have the slide screw to the bell and the back has the bell screw to the slide.
I was always under the impression if you wanted the bach style slide, you could switch out crooks on the king slide to make it wider. Don't quote me on it, but I believe that's about $300-400
