Hey Trombone Chatters!

I am currently teaching my lessons online and have a fully-outfitted online studio. I focus on chops, technique, and versatility. I've always enjoyed playing lots of styles on lots of instruments.

I really focus on teaching now as that's what I've always enjoyed doing more, and I feel like that's where I excel. I love working with pros and beginners alike and I feel I have a lot to offer. If you or anyone you know wants to get started with some online lessons, I'd love to help.

Here are some details:

Credentials: I have been a professional musician for the last 24 years. I teach all brass instruments. I perform regularly on the alto trombone, tenor trombone, bass trombone, euphonium (baritone) and tuba. I also play the trumpet and French horn and teach them proficiently.

I can provide my Curriculum Vitae for you to review. Here is a quick synopsis:

Professional Experience:

· United States Army Field Band in Washington, D.C. (tenor trombone, bass trombone, tuba, featured soloist)

· Sub with the Utah Symphony (tenor trombone, bass trombone)

· Glenn Miller Orchestra (bass trombone, featured soloist)

· Washington Symphony Orchestra (principal trombone)

· Touring musician for 8 years with various outfits

· First-call recording and performing player in Utah (tenor trombone, bass trombone)

Educational Offerings:

· Technique (range, power, sound, speed, endurance)

· Embouchure (Reinhardt)

· Classical solo preparation

· Jazz improvisation

· Audition preparation

· Notation (Sibelius)

Educational Accolades:

· Bachelor of Music Education from George Mason University in Burke, Virginia

· Master of Music Performance from The University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida

· Expert in the Reinhardt embouchure approach

I am currently carrying a busy teaching roster, primarily on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. I am considering opening another day because of the teaching load and to assist in availability.

Leif and Tom, thank you! Leif, I've learned a lot from you, too - I really loved that Danny Boy duet we did. I posted it here one time but I don't know where. It was fun.
