There has been an early TR180 sighting!

1968. Sax rollers. 9 1/2" bell. Looks legit! I wish I had the dough to pick it up. Someone snap this up and give it a good home!

Something I do find interesting about this one is it looks more... TR180 or TR185ish that some of other early TR180 horns I've seen. I've seen one or two other sax roller TR180's over the years which seemed more 169ish.

Phil, have you ever considered seeing someone about your Holton problem?

If it lasts more than four bass trombones, please see your doctor.

Cheers,

Yup, you guys said he should see someone....trouble is, he saw me ! <EMOJI seq="1f608" tseq="1f608">๐Ÿ˜ˆ</EMOJI><EMOJI seq="1f608" tseq="1f608">๐Ÿ˜ˆ</EMOJI><EMOJI seq="1f608" tseq="1f608">๐Ÿ˜ˆ</EMOJI>. Early 180s are odd...WGW180 has a couple that are among the best trombones of any make that I have played, but I've tried some others that were awful. Reading this thread, I dug out my 169 with slot in valve to remind myself of the breed... they are seriously good trombones.. and my 169 is strangely close to the Conn 60H I got from Philip...never tried them back to back....perhaps that's why I like the 60H so much.

That 180 is pretty, but does it play ?

The horn has been relisted with a minimum bid of $1400 and Make an Offer option. Wow! Must... resist... urge... to buy... another Holton...

The closure of the US-Canada border is saving me lots of money (buying trombone gear not being considered by most to be โ€œessentialโ€).
