Does anyone know if there is a site for York Instruments.

I can`t seem to find one but maybe I`m looking in the wrong place.

Thanks

Be aware that the York name has been used by more than one manufacturer.

The original? maker was from Grand Rapids and was famous for Tubas.

Boosey and Hawkes used the York name for some imported student instruments in the second half of the 20th century.

There was also a York Meister trombone made by the German manufacturer B&S, which was a visual clone of the Olds Super.

Cheers

I saw an Old , but in good condition York (Grand Rapids) Baritone

Because of Covid, I could not try it, So I took a chance and bought , with a 45 day full refund policy at the store.

Got it home and YUCK !!!

Notes would not slot at all, then I pulled out the tuner...... perfectly in tune in B!

Not Bb. and this is with an extension on the main tuning slide, so it must have originally been tuned in C.

Oh well , Back to the store it goes tomorrow, Unless someone is interested in a York Baritone in B.

Sounds like it's High Pitch.
