Hello,

I would like to trade my Courtois AC-420BH for an Edwards T350, T350E, or T350CRE.

The Courtois AC-420 is the 1st generation horn designed with Weston Sprott, and has a yellow brass bell, Hagmann valve, and yellow brass slide.

I used this horn to win my position in “Pershing’s Own”, as well as in performance with the Metropolitan Opera, and several Broadway and off-Broadway shows. It plays well, has a clear, brilliant upper register, a clean slide, and very fast valve. I would like to trade it as my sound concept has changed, and the horn isn’t the Goldilocks “just right” of a match to fit my natural tendencies.

The bell has been repaired due to an unfortunate drop, and pictures are available on request. The slide is in excellent shape, and there is minimal lacquer wear from contact over 5 years.

I would like to trade the instrument for an Edwards, preferably one with a 321 bell, and TBC slide (nickel or not is not an issue). Edge bracing or not isn’t important, though I would be more partial to the CR over the Thayer valve.

If anyone is interested, please contact me by email at
