The Syd Lawrence Orchestra under the direction of my old teacher Chris Dean performing
All Or Nothing At All.
This band is the UK's premier working big band founded in 1967 by trumpeter Syd Lawrence.
It has been thrilling audiences in Concert Halls, Theatres, TV Shows and Music Festivals all over Great Britain and Continental Europe for over 50 years.
This track is taken from the bands upcoming album ' Spotlight On The Bandleader' so an album of trombone features to look forward to !
Enjoy

Any idea about the arrangement? All that double time ride cymbal bell is very Ted Heath/Don Lusher...

These guys play great. I was immediately reminded of Ann Richards singing

with the Kenton Alumni, a very high energy group. In fact I thought it may the the same arrangement, but no, just similarity of ideas.
High energy, I mean, really high energy.

I asked Chris, and he said the chart was written by Bryan Pendleton who is a former pianist with the band.
May be he was channelling Ted Heath??
