I've been looking into the cookie thing. I'm seeing mixed advice ranging from.you have to do it if your host has a presence I'm the EU to your users in the EU reauore it to don't even bother because you probably won't be sued.
It looks like there isn't an option to selectively enable it for EU people. I don't find them intrusive in the least since I use the same devices all the time. Bit every time we install a cookie, it will ask for permission. You can't use this site without them or nothing would work (it uses cookies to authenticate posts for example).
So my vote is to leave it up since it's so unobtrusive but we can disable it since we probably won't get hit by EU prosecutors.
