I got to tinkering with my project 4-B that I built a while back. I was never happy with the F attachment, and I had a bit of a buzz in a solder joint somewhere. I ended up ripping the whole thing apart and rebuilding it again. Nice and clean, no stress on the joints. Ever see a 4-B with an open wrap? Lol.

Still need to pull out the buffing wheel and some Tripoli and clean it up, I got a little sloppy with the solder in a few places. My hands were cold and my tendinitis was acting up. Still, every thing is air-tight, and it plays well! I’m much happier with it now.

4B with open wrap? How about the Benge 190?

Nice job, though. Looks like you updated the later version with the fulcrum on the slide brace. I like the older version with the fulcrum on the slide receiver.

Nice job!!

But I would recommend a brace between the F tuning slide legs for some stability when you remove the tuning slides!

Yup, that’s in the works. Gotta find a suitable one, or manufacture one.

Benge 190... touché! Lol.

Yeah, I prefer the older version too, but so was working with the parts I had.

Did you use .562 bore tubing or the original.547 bore tubing on the attachment?

It’s mostly the original tubing, just reconfigured. A few pieces of scrap tubing pieced in to fill in where needed.
